It was relief all round as Lamontville Golden Arrows snapped an 11-match winless streak and defeated Polokwane City 1-0 in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Sunday afternoon.
Second half substitute Nduduzo Sibiya scored the all-important goal five minutes before full-time. Sibiya had entered the fray after he substituted Moyela Libamba in the 53rd minute.
This was a very important win for Abafana Bes’thende, who changed their coaching staff a few days ago with Steve Komphela returning as head coach being assisted by Mabhuti Khanyeza and Musa Bilankulu. Khanyeza and Bilankulu were in charge of the team during their barren run.
