Former Bafana Bafana midfielder Bongani Zungu announced on Friday that he has left DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
The 31-year-old Zungu, who was born in Duduza, Ekurhuleni, left the Tshwane giants after spending two seasons with them.
“I would like to thank Mamelodi Sundowns fans, technical team and the president for the last two seasons. The relationship I have with the club is beyond the professional space,” Zungu wrote on Instagram.
Zungu added: “I will always be grateful for every opportunity I was offered, so I say this with a heavy heart that I will be leaving the club. Thank you to all the amazing supporters, I will always be grateful. I wish the team all the best, I know bigger success awaits you.”
