Rulani Mokwena has signed a three-year contract as he started life as head coach of Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club on Thursday evening.
Mokwena joined the 22-time Moroccan champions just a week after he was fired by DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
“Let me start by thanking the president Mr Hicham and the entire board, incredible human beings. Immediately after Wydad found out I left Sundowns it took a couple of hours for them to reach out to my agent. I also have to thank my previous clubs Sundowns and Orlando Pirates,” Mokwena said.
The 37-year-old Mokwena added: “I really appreciate that the board is as ambitious as I am and has committed themselves to giving us full support to wake up a sleeping giant.”
