SuperSport United confirmed the signing of Bafana Bafana right back Nyiko Mobbie from Mamelodi Sundowns on Thursday afternoon. 

The 29-year-old Mobbie has been on the road as the Brazilians loaned him to Sekhukhune United and Chippa United. 

“SuperSport United FC is pleased to announce the permanent transfer of Bafana Bafana international defender Nyiko Mobbie on a two-year deal with an option to renew,” a Matsatsantsa a Pitori statement said. 

Matsatsantsa also confirmed the signing of Bafana goalkeeper Ricardo Goss on a new two-year loan deal. Goss has spent the past two seasons on loan at Matsatsantsa. 

“Ricardo has been with us for the past two years and has forced his way into being a Bafana Bafana regular. We are delighted to extend his stay. We hope to see him challenge Ronwen Williams for the number one Bafana Bafana spot,” Matsatsantsa chief executive officer Stanley Mathews said.

“Nyiko Mobi performed exceptionally well at the AFCON 2024 and has been remarkably consistent for a player who has spent the last few years in various loan moves. We look forward for him to settle in as a SuperSport United player and to helping us add to our trophy cabinet.”
