Azinga ‘Golden Boy’ Fuzile and his opponent Martin Ward from Britain had a chance meeting on Monday night.
Fuzile and Ward met when they used the same gym at the same time while preparing for their International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-lightweight eliminator.
The two adversaries are going to square up against each other at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, United States, on Saturday, 29 May.
This was Fuzile’s first training on American soil since landing from South Africa on Monday morning (US time).
Fuzile and Ward are set to meet officially during a press conference scheduled for Wednesday. The weigh-in is going to be held on Friday.
The winner of the Fuzile-Ward bout is going to challenge whoever wins between Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov from Tajikistan and Japanese boxer Kenichi Ogawa, who meet for the vacant IBF junior-lightweight title in July.
