Both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates coaches agree that the Carling Black Label Cup is a great initiative for the fans.
Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt is going to lead Amakhosi when they clash against Josef Zinnbauer’s Pirates at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec on Saturday, 31 July.
Amakhosi’s Hunt has revealed that planning for the Carling Black Label Cup might also be difficult for him.
“It’s gonna be obviously difficult because you can’t plan anything at the moment because of our situation. In terms of preseason, I’m not quite sure,” Hunt said.
“Obviously, it’s for the fans. It’s a fantastic initiative. It’s something totally unique around the world. It gives them the day in the sun, the day when they can pick the formations, make the changes. You can see it’s not that easy.”
Meanwhile, Zinnnbauer also echoed Hunt’s sentiments in as far as the competition is concerned.
“I have never seen this before. We have to say it’s a derby. Both clubs have lots of good supporters. This is a great initiative. It’s obviously good to have a big game ahead of us to see the reaction from the players,” Zinnbauer said.
