Minister of Sport and Recreation Nathi Mthethwa has appointed a new Boxing South Africa (BSA) board, which is to going to lead the fistic sport in the next three years.

The board, led by Eastern Cape’s Luthando Jack, who succeeded Doctor Peter Ngatane as chairperson, is dominated by Gauteng representatives.

Gilberto Martins, Zandile Kabini, Surej Maharaj and Doctor Azwitamisi Nthangeni come from Gauteng while Sakhiwe Sodo is from the Eastern Cape and Erick Nsikayezwe Sithole hails from KwaZulu/Natal.

Jack, Kabini and Martins were in the previous board, which was led by Ngatane while Sodo returns after a long absence from the board.

Meanwhile, Doctor Kwanda Nogemane (Eastern Cape), Andile Ndevu
(Western Cape), Siphiwe Sithole (Gauteng), Thabo Spampool (Gauteng) and Khulile Radu (Eastern Cape) failed to make it to the board after undergoing interviews recently.
