Hlula Dladla of Hlula Dladla Boxing Promotions (HDBP) and Colin Nathan’s NO DOUBT Management company have entered into a boxer management partnership.
“To be the best, you need to be associated with the best. The history of our KZN boxers with NO DOUBT Management, particularly Moruti Mthalane, has been extremely successful. I have very talented boxers and I need proper guidance and management for these boys. The reputation of Nathan’s company complements our values and growth strategy,” Dladla said.
Dladla has two South African champions – unbeaten Nkosingiphile Sibisi, who is a national flyweight titlist, as well as featherweight king Lindelani Sibisi.
Lindelani went to East London in May and broke local fans’ hearts when he stopped Zolisa Batyi to win the SA featherweight title.
On the other hand, Mxolisi Zuma recently lost to Namibian boxer Filipus Nghitumbwa in a World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Global junior-featherweight title in Windhoek, Namibia. And this was Zuma’s first loss in 11 fights.
“I have to say that I have been following these fighters for about the last year or so,” Nathan remarked.
“It was strange when I was approached, as I have both mandatory contenders for Mr Dladla’s champions – Frank Sotomela and Ishmael Kadri. But as we all know, boxing can be a funny business with twists and turns. I am very excited about this partnership with Mr Dladla and managing his top fighters and taking them to the top.”
The three boxers are not going to be lost to KwaZulu-Natal boxing as Dladla will continue promoting them and their fights will still be held in the province of their birth with Nathan as their manager.
