Kaizer Chiefs announced on Tuesday afternoon that they had signed former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Lebohang Maboe.
The 30-year-old Maboe from Ratanda in Heidelberg joined Amakhosi after playing for SuperSport United on loan from Sundowns last season. He’s now the 10th player to join Chiefs.
“We know Lebo is a quality player who has gained valuable experience in continental competitions over the past few years,” Chiefs sporting director Kaizer Motaung Junior said.
“His expertise will be crucial for us in both the domestic league and the CAF Confederation Cup. We’re pleased to welcome him back to Amakhosi. He was here and knows the culture and what our supporters expect from our players.”
