After barging into the top 15 ratings of the International Boxing Federation (IBF) flyweight division, Nkosingiphile Sibisi has now set up a clash against Longyi Hu from China.
Sibisi from Glencoe in KwaZulu-Natal and Hu are scheduled to square up against each other in a vacant IBF International flyweight title contest on Saturday, 11 October.
Unbeaten Sibisi’s fight against the Chinese opponent was confirmed by his manager Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan from NO DOUBT Management.
Sibisi is the current South African flyweight champion, who defeated Zolile Miya is his second title defence in Estcourt, KwaZulu-Natal, six months ago.
On the other hand, Chengdu-born Hu, now a resident of Shenzhen, has nine wins with five of his victims not finishing their fights, two losses and two draws. Hu, who defeated Dave Apolinario from the Philippines in April, is going to be Sibisi’s first opponent from Asia.
With three wins and two draws in his last five fights, the 26-year-old Hu comes from the Shenzhen Jianzhi Pro Combat Academy.
