It was heart break for Chippa United as they were beaten 2-1 by Polokwane City in a Betway Premiership match at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Sunday afternoon.
The Gqeberha-based Chilli Boys scored first when Ayabulela Konqobe beat Rise and Shine goalminder Brian Bwire from a Justice Figareido pass in the fifth minute.
Rise and Shine equalised on the stroke of half-time through their captain Lebohang Nkaki’s penalty, which was awarded to the home side by match referee Thokozani Mkhize after Seun Ndlovu’s handball.
And Thabang Matuludi broke the hearts of Chilli Boys fans when he scored a late goal in referee’s added time to give Rise and Shine three valuable points.
