Nobengazi Booth is the new Mpumalanga female junior-middleweight champion after she defeated Alima Nkosi in Middelburg on Saturday.
Following the fifth round stoppage victory, Booth improved her record to three wins with two knockouts and two losses. On the other hand, Nkosi dropped to three wins and loss.
Bernice Ferreira won her second fight this year as she defeated former South African female lightweight champion Raider Muleba with Sazisiwe Simon outpointing Sihliselwe Nhliziyo.
Misiwe Ndlovu beat Seani Morite on points and Nolwazi Mabaso also scored a points win over Millicent Nemutandani with Caroline Rabani registering a technical knockout win over Ayanda Ndonyela.

Award-winning South African female boxer Simangele ‘Smash’ Hadebe put up a great performance as she defeated Nigerian boxer Kehinde Olamiposi Solomon on points.
Following her resounding win, Hadebe won the vacant World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa female flyweight title. Judges Sipho Ndongeni and Jaap van Niewenhuizen had Hadebe, the current South African female flyweight champion, winning by 80-72 on their scorecards while Tony Nyangiwe’s scorecard read 79-73.
This was a good come back for Hadebe, who was beaten by Mexican boxer Gabriela Sanchez Saavedra in Mexico five months ago.
In the same tournament, Asanda Simelane registered a split decision win over Nozwelethu Mathontsi and in the process won the vacant WBO Africa female junior-flyweight title.
Nigerian boxer Sikiru Shogbesan shocked current SA lightweight champion Khaya Busakwe as he beat him by a split decision in an international bout.
After not fighting for eight years, Jarred Silverman defeated William Bankisi by a fifth round technical knockout and Jonathan Sam also earned the same result against Khodani Nephalama while the clash between Winnie Sithole and Librah Mtarini was declared a technical draw after an accidental clash of heads.
