Lamontville Golden Arrows are through to the quarter-finals of the Carling Knockout after they came from behind to beat Sekhukhune United 3-1 at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban, on Saturday evening.
Veteran forward Bradley Grobler, formerly with SuperSport United, gave Babina Noko a 1-0 lead with a goal on the stroke of half-time.
Abafana Bes’thende equalised with Jerome Karelse’s goal 12 minutes into the second half. Seven minutes later, Arrows led for the first time with Ayabulela Maxwele’s goal before Ayanda Jiyane made it 3-1 in the 72nd minute.
Meanwhile, TS Galaxy and Orlando Pirates have also advanced to the last eight of the competition following 1-0 wins over Orbit College and Siwelele FC respectively earlier on Saturday.
