Unbeaten South African female junior-lightweight champion Bernice ‘The Badger’ Ferreira was announced as the new addition at NO DOUBT Management on Monday morning.
Previously managed by Colleen McAusland, Ferreira’s business affairs will now be handled by Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan. Ferreira’s contract with McAusland expires on 20 March.
“I am going to be world champion. I feel like I am entering the prime of my career. I had been contemplating joining NO DOUBT Management for a while now and now I have made up my mind,” Ferreira said.
Ferreira, who has won all her nine professional fights with four of her wins coming from knockouts, dethroned Nozipho Bell at the Silver Lakes Farm, Pretoria, in November last year.
And her mentor Arafaat Kock, a young, up-and-coming trainer, said: “Bernice works very hard, is totally committed to me as a fighter and always gives 100 percent of herself in training camps and her fights.”
Meanwhile, it was revealed that Ferreira will be fighting for the world title at the Wild Coast Casino in Mzamba, Bizana, on Saturday, 25 April.
