Siseko Teyisi will fight for the first time under his new promotional home when he enters the ring to clash with Neel ‘No Fear’ Jacamos from the Philippines in just over two months’ time.
Teyisi will trade blows with Jacamos in a World Boxing Council (WBC) Youth junior-flyweight title at the Jan Smuts Stadium in KuGompo City on Saturday, 23 May. The two boxers were due to meet on Saturday, 21 March, but the tournament got postponed to May, the Mdantsane boxer’s handlers confirmed.
Teyisi, wo has won all his nine fights with seven of those victories coming from knockouts, will be making his debut under Ground Up Sports Promotions since joining the promotional out following his move from Xaba Promotions in January.
An International Boxing Federation (IBF) Intercontinental titlist, Teyisi’s last fight was a 12th round stoppage win over Athenkosi Thongwana in a South African junior-flyweight title defence at the Orient Theatre in KuGompo City in December.
On the other hand, Jacamos from General Santos City in the Philippines fought four times last year. And Jacamos, who has seven wins with one knockout defeated his compatriot Kurt John Pabular last August.
