Sibulele ‘Lova’ Soboois, who’s the reigning World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa female flyweight champion, has found a new promotional home as she signed with Warrior Ascent Promotions on Monday morning.
Soboois is scheduled to fight against Asanda Simelane in an African Boxing Union (ABU) female flyweight title contest at the Grand West Casino in Cape Town on Saturday, 8 August.
“We are proud to announce that the undefeated WBO Africa champion Sibulele ‘Lova’ Soboois is joining the Warrior Ascent Promotions family,” a Warrior Ascent Promotions statement said.
Soboois is based in Cape Town and is trained by Xolani Kemka. She is rated eighth by the WBO and is 10th in the World Boxing Council (WBC) rantings while she’s 11th on Boxrec.
