Bafana Bafana will face 2026 FIFA World Cup co-hosts Canada in the the last-32 of the tournament after the South Africans defeated Korea Republic 1-0 at the Monterrey Stadium in Guadalupe, Mexico, early on Thursday.
Thapelo Maseko scored the all-important goal in the 63rd minute to take Bafana to their first ever knockout stages match in the World Cup. Bafana reached the next round of the tournament after they finished second in Group A.
Bafana’s clash against the Canadians is scheduled for the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Los Angeles, California in the United States of America (USA) at 21h00 this coming Sunday.
