Asanda Simelane and Noxolo Magagula are going to headline a seven-bout tournament, which is going to be promoted by Fighters Club in just over two weeks’ time.

Simelane and Magagula clash in a six rounds flyweight bout at the Silver Lakes Farm Hotel in Pretoria on Saturday, 14 November.

“We want women in boxing to have consistent opportunities to compete, be seen and build careers. This launch gives our guests a closer look at the platform we are building and the women at its heart. Their discipline, ambition and determination deserve an audience beyond fight night,” Terry-Anne Hart, founder and chief executive officer of Fighters Club, said.

Fighters Club last staged a tournament at the Silver Lakes Farm in February this year. And their last tournament was held at the Wild Coast Casino in Bizana, Eastern Cape, in May.

Meanwhile, two South African female champions, Nomusa Ngema and Ntombokuqala Tolashe, meet in a six rounds featherweight clash.

Ngema from KwaZulu-Natal is the current SA female junior-featherweight champion while Western Cape’s Tolashe holds the featherweight title.
