German-born Josef Zinnbauer resigned as Orlando Pirates coach with immediate effect on Monday.
This follows after the Buccaneers were bundled out of the MTN8 by their neighbours Swallows FC on Saturday.
“I would like to thank the chairman and management for the opportunity they have given me. Unfortunately, my time at the club has come to an end,” the German’s resignation letter read.
Zinnbauer won 35 matches, drew 20 and lost 13 while in charge at Pirates. The 51-year-old German, who joined Bucs in 2019, won the MTN8 trophy last season.
