Brandon Truter loves winning and collecting maximum points is more like an addiction to the Swallows FC coach thus he’s disappointed with his team’s 1-1 draw with Chippa United.
The Dube Birds hosted the Chilli Boys in a DStv Premiership fixture at the Dobsonville Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Swallows top goal scorer Ruzaigh Gamildien scored against his former team while Kurt Lentjies equalised for the Chilli Boys.
“I’m a bit disappointed in the way we conceded the goal. Chippa is not an easy team to play against. We controlled the last period of the game. We got an early goal, but we put our feet off the pedal after that,” Truter said.
Swallows, who are second on the Premiership table with 26 points, are still unbeaten having won seven matches and drawn five since the beginning of the season in October.
While Truter is disappointed, his counterpart at the Chilli Boys Daniel Malesela is happy with the point they gained.
“I’m happy. I had to be firm in the change room. This was a very tough match and if any team could have scored again, it’s the Birds,” Malesela said.
“I’m just worried, we have to recover very well because we have a very long trip to Venda.”
The Dube Birds have a date with log-leaders Mamelodi Sundowns in Pretoria while the Chilli Boys are going to play against Black Leopards at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday.
