Baroka FC seem hellbent on frustrating Kaizer Chiefs whenever the two sides meet.
It was the same when Bakgaga Ba Mphahlele frustrated Amakhosi to a 1-1 draw in a DStv Premiership match at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec on Wednesday evening.
Thamsanqa Masiya scored for Bakgaga in the 54th minute while Goodman Mosele netted an own goal, which helped Chiefs stretch their unbeaten run to five matches, in the 76th minute.
The pain of being denied an opportunity to lift the league trophy last season was still fresh in the Amakhosi players’ minds. Bakgaga held Chiefs to a 1-1 draw on the last day of the 2019/2020 season. As a result of the draw, Mamelodi Sundowns lifted the league trophy.
Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates and TS Galaxy drew 1-1 at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto.
Bongani Sam scored for the Buccaneers in the 11th minute. Pirates’ lead was cut when Masilakhe Phohlongo equalised 13 minutes later.
