Defending Nedbank Cup champions Mamelodi Sundowns are going to face Stellenbosch FC in the last-32 of the competition.

The clash between the two DStv Premiership sides was confirmed at a draw, which was held in Johannesburg, on Thursday evening.

Last season’s losing finalists Bloemfontein Celtic will travel to Cape Town to for a date with Cape Town City while Lamontville Golden Arrows and AmaZulu are going to clash in a KwaZulu-Natal derby.

For the first time ever the Nedbank Cup pits Premier Soccer League (PSL) clubs against each other with no amateur sides taking part in the competition.

This follows after the South African Football Association (SAFA) told the PSL that the organisation was not going to provide the eight teams as is normally the case. There has been no amateur football in South Africa because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The last-32 matches are going to be played on 3 February with venues and kick-off times going to be confirmed at a later date.
