Eva Nga Bienvenu will be seeking redemption when his team Chippa United clash with Free State Stars in a Nedbank Cup last-32 match at the Nelson Mandela Bay in Port Elizabeth on Sunday (15h00).
Eva Nga, the first player to score a hattrick this season, has struggled to score in recent matches.
He, however, hopes luck will be on his side when they play against Ea Lla Koto.
“We are playing the Nedbank Cup on Sunday and I can see that the players are motivated and have more confidence. We must be prepared and be ready for the match,” he said.
“I think we are going to give our best and win the match. This is a big cup here in South Africa. Imagine if Chippa can win the Nedbank Cup and play in the Africa Confederation Cup.”
The Chilli Boys are back at home in Port Elizabeth after spending two weeks on the road where they won two matches, drew two and lost two.
“We feel tired as it was not easy for us. I feel disappointed because I have not been scoring goals, but I’m happy to assist and make a contribution,” the former Bidvest Wits striker said.
