Chippa United are struggling in the DStv Premiership, but that has not stopped their striker Bienvenu Eva Nga from dreaming about a Nedbank Cup final.
The Chilli Boys forward wants to help the Gqeberha-based club reach their first ever cup final. However, GladAfrica Championship side Pretoria Callies stand between the Chilli Boys and a place in the final. The Chilli Boys face Callies at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Saturday (15h00).
“We don’t need to give them a chance. Wish we can score many goals. We have played very well until we reached the semi-finals. We are going to the final,” Eva Nga said.
Eva Nga reckons that the Chilli Boys stand a very good chance of winning this match, especially if they play the same way they did during the second half of their 2-1 loss to log-leaders Mamelodi Sundowns on Monday.
The Chilli Boys, who played the last three Nedbank Cup matches at home, are going to be led by caretaker coach Siyabulela Gwambi.
The coach from Zwide in Gqeberha has been charged with turning the Chilli Boys’ fortunes around following Dan Malesela’s sacking less than two weeks ago.
