Maritzburg United stole a point when they held Cape Town City to a goalless draw in a DStv Premiership match at the Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The point earned from the match will go a very long way in the Team of Choice’s bid to avoid finishing in a play-off spot at the end of the season.
The Citizens are still seventh on the Premiership table with 38 points from 28 games while the Team of Choice are 12th with 29 points in 28 matches.
The Citizens are left with two matches against struggling Black Leopards and Mamelodi Sundowns before they wrap up the season. The Team of Choice face SuperSport United and AmaZulu in their last two games.
