Senegal and Mozambique have reached the semi-finals of the COSAFA Cup tournament underway in Gqeberha.
The Teranga Lions beat Malawi 2-1 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium while the Mambas defeated Namibia 1-0 at the Isaac Wolfson Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
A brace by Abou Diop gave the West Africans their third win of the tournament. Kudha Muyaba scored for the Flames.
On the other hand, Mambas forward Melito Alexandre scored in the 81st minute to lead Mozambique to a win over the Brave Warriors.
Both Mozambique and Namibia finished Group B with the same number of points and goal difference. However, the Mambas reached the last four by virtue of having a better head-to-head record compared to the Brave Warriors.
