The Blitzboks’ good start at the Tokyo Olympics continued when they whipped the Kenyan Sevens Rugby team 14-5 in Japan on Monday afternoon.
Selvyn Davids and Siviwe Soyizwapi crossed the try line for the Blitzboks with Branco du Preez converting twice while Collins Injera scored Kenya’s try.
The Blitzboks absorbed pressure from the hard-running Kenyans, who kept attacking, especially towards the end of the match.
The Kenyans had very good opportunities, but they failed to turn them into points.
It was a good day for the Blitzboks as they beat Ireland 33-14 earlier on Monday while the Kenyans lost 19-14 to the United States in their opening match.
