Cape Town City are going to clash against Swallows FC in the semi-finals of the MTN8.
This comes after the Citizens beat AmaZulu 2-1 with goals from Terence Mashego and Mduduzi Mdantsane at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday evening. Lehlohonolo Majoro scored Usuthu’s goal.
Swallows reached the last four of the competition following a 2-1 win over Orlando Pirates on Saturday evening.
A draw conducted after the Citizens’ win over Usuthu pitted Lamontville Golden Arrows against Mamelodi Sundowns in the other semi-final.
Abafana Bes’thende beat SuperSport United 4-3 on penalties on Saturday while the Brazilians won 2-1 on spot kicks against Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday.
