Midfielder Tiyani ‘Shuga’ Mabunda’s time at Mamelodi Sundowns has come to an end.
It was clear from last season that Mabunda, who joined Sundowns from Black Leopards on 2013, would leave the Brazilians because of lack of action.
Mabunda’s contract with the Tshwane giants expired at the end of June. The 33-year-old Mabunda won numerous trophies with Sundowns. These include league titles, CAF Champions League, CAF Super Cup, Nedbank Cup and the Telkom Knockout.
