Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane continues to soldier on even though his team trail Egyptian Premier League leaders Zamalek by four points with three matches to go before they wrap up the season.
The Red Devils’ wheels came off in their last three matches as they won once and drawn twice something, which allowed Zamalek to open a four points gap at the top of the standings. Zamalek have 73 points from 31 games while the Red Devils have 69 from the same number of matches.
The Red Devils won 2-0 over ENPPI and drew with El Gaish (0-0) and Ismaily (1-1) in recent matches.
“We have hit a big turbulence as a team, but we will fight with dignity until the end. Everything happens for a reason. Maybe there are bigger things for us to come,” Mosimane said.
Mosimane, who has won the CAF Champions League trophy on three occasions, is going to lead his team when they meet third-placed Al Masry at the Alexandria Stadium on Saturday (21h00).
