Chippa United caretaker coach Kurt Lentjies understands the kind of threat that Lamontville Golden Arrows pose ahead of their clash at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Saturday afternoon (15h30).

The Chilli Boys are desperate for points in their effort to climb up the DStv Premiership standings.

“We are obviously aware of the threat they pose. We have been working throughout the week,” the Mitchell’s Plain-born Lentjies said.

The former Chilli Boys and Maritzburg midfielder also understands how crucial it is for the Gqeberha-based side to win this match.

“We are playing at home. It’s crucial to win whether we are playing at home or away. Obviously, the mood is good. We have been looking back at our last game, which was a positive result. We are well prepared for the game,” Lentjies said.

Lentjies had a bright start as caretaker coach as he led the Chilli Boys to a 1-0 away win over Baroka FC in Polokwane last month.
