New Chippa United recruit Siphelele Luthuli is happy to have found a new home at the Chilli Boys after spending time on the sidelines at Durban club Royal AM this season.

Luthuli joined the Chilli Boys from Royal AM on Thursday and he hopes to make an immediate impact at the Gqeberha-based side.

“I was hoping to come here a long time ago. I’m willing to stay here and work,” the former Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder said.

The 26-year-old Luthuli from Cator Manor in KwaZulu-Natal also hopes to score goals for the Chilli Boys, who have netted 11 times in 17 matches.

“I will make sure that I score goals because I’ve got an eye for goals. I promise the supporters that I will work hard and I will score and work for the team,” Luthuli said.

Luthuli joined the Eastern Cape side together with Zimbabwean Ronald Pfumbidzai, who was his teammate at both Royal AM and Celtic.
