Lindokuhle Mbatha is determined to fight and play an important role when his team TS Galaxy clash with Mamelodi Sundowns in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Wednesday evening (19h30).

The 36-year-old Mbatha is key to the Rockets’ revival as they attempt to move away from the danger zone. The Rockets are 14th on the Premiership standings with 17 points from 19 games.

“Sundowns are a big team. They were playing in CAF. I think they are not going to be the same. I hope when we meet them on Wednesday they will find us ready,” Mbatha said.

The former Sundowns midfielder is impressed with how the Rockets have done lately, especially after they collected seven points from a possible nine.

“They come to us at the right time. We have won twice and drawn once. I’m happy that we give our all whenever we get onto the field,” Mbatha said.

Sundowns, who are fresh from a 1-0 win over Egyptian giants Al Ahly in a CAF Champions League match last Saturday, are still leading on the Premiership table with 48 points from 21 games.
