Award-winning sport journalist Mninawa Ntloko has been appointed as the new head of communications at the South African Football Association (SAFA).

The national football controlling body announced Ntloko’s appointment on Tuesday. Ntloko takes over from Dominic Chimhavi, who is now SAFA’s head of stakeholder relations.

Eastern Cape-born Ntloko, a nephew of the late former Kaizer Chiefs director Clarence Mlokoti, has won many awards in a journalism career spanning more than two decades where he was once a daily newspaper sport editor. Ntloko was, until recently, a digital sport editor at Arena Holdings.
