Stellenbosch FC striker Ashley du Preez has left the Cape Winelands side to join Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs.
The 24-year-old Cloetesville-born Du Preez’s move to Amakhosi was announced by Stellies on Monday morning.
“Never an easy decision to make. I wanna thank the management, coaching staff for supporting me,” Du Preez said.
Du Preez, who netted nine goals during the 2021/22 season, is the second Stellies player to join Amakhosi in recent weeks.
Braamfischerville-born defender Zitha Kwinika was the first to move to Chiefs. Kwinika was once a Chiefs player before moving to Chippa United on 2015.
