Newly-promoted Richards Bay FC have beefed up their defence with the signing of former Stellenbosch FC defender Sibusiso Mthethwa.
The 31-year-old Mthethwa was released by Stellies as his contract with the Cape Winelands club expires on Thursday.
Mthethwa joined Stellies from Cape Umoya United in 2018. He once played for Free State Stars and the University of Pretoria.
Meanwhile, Stellies have also released midfielders Nathan Sinkala and Granwald Scott. Sinkala played 18 times for Stellies last season while Scott only made four appearances.
