World title hopeful Nhlanhla ‘Mount Kilimanjaro’ Tyirha,  South African champion Asanda Gingqi and Zolisa Batyi have confirmed that they are going to be trained by Khangelani Jack in Nxarhuni.

The three boxers followed Jack after the 33-year-old trainer cut ties with Xaba Boxing Academy last week.

“Gingqi, Tyirha and Batyi are going to continue being trained by me,” Jack confirmed.

Gingqi, the current South African featherweight champion, also confirmed that he’s still going to be trained by Jack.

“Yes, I can confirm that coach Khangelani is still my trainer and will continue training me,” the Mdantsane-born boxer said.

Tyirha, who is a former SA junior-flyweight champion, also revealed that he has moved with Jack. Tyirha is rated 15th by the International Boxing Federation (IBF), sixth by both the World Boxing Council (WBC) and the World Boxing Organisation (WBO).

“Coach Khangelani is going to continue training me. He was our coach from the beginning, since our amateur days. We have a very good working relationship with him. He knows the three of us very well,” Tyirha said.

Batyi said: “I have moved together with coach Khangelani and he will continue to train me.”
