Orlando Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi and former Al Ahly mentor Pitso Mosimane are among the coaches who have been nominated for the CAF Coach of the Year award.

Ncikazi together with Fadlu Davids, who has since left the Buccaneers, led Pirates to the final of the CAF Confederation Cup. The Soweto side lost to Moroccan club RS Berkane in the final.

Mosimane, on the other hand, guided the Red Devils to the CAF Champions League final, which they lost to Wydad Athletic Club from Morocco.

Meanwhile, Percy Tau (Al Ahly), Peter Shalulile (Mamelodi Sundowns), Thembinkosi Lorch and Bandile Shandu (both from Orlando Pirates) have been nominated for the CAF Player of the Year (Africa-based) award.
