Legendary right winger Jerry Sadike whom his family from Orlando, Soweto, reported missing last week, has passed away. He was 70.

The former Orlando Pirates, Highlands Park, Kaizer Chiefs and Pimville United Brothers (PUBS) right winger’s lifeless body was found at the Edenvale Hospital mortuary on Thursday morning. 

The deceased was at one stage the only black player in a sea of white faces at Highlands Park during the late 1970s.

Sadike started his professional career at PUBS before joining Chiefs in 1973. He then went on to play for Highlands Park and Pirates.
