Banyana Banyana’s fine performance has taken them to the quarter-finals of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament currently underway in Morocco.
Banyana won their second successive match of the tournament when they defeated Burundi 3-1 at the Prince Heritier Moulay Al Hassan Stadium on Thursday evening.
Banyana’s goals were scored by Thembi Kgatlana, Amogelang Motau and Linda Motlhalo while Aniella Awimana netted for the Burundians.
Meanwhile, Banyana Banyana’s last group stages match is against their neighbours Botswana on Sunday.
