Mdantsane boxer Xolisile Voyi has not given up even though he has failed twice to have a belt strapped around his waist.

After failing to win the South African and World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa flyweight titles between 2017 and 2018, Voyi is now going to fight for the Eastern Cape title in the same division.

He lost to Thembelani Nxoshe in an SA flyweight title fight in July 2017 and also suffered a defeat to Fikile Mlonyeni when he challenged for the WBO Africa title.

Now Voyi will face Masixole Langa in an Eastern Cape flyweight title fight at the Ginsberg Community Hall in Qonce on Sunday, 21 August.

Meanwhile, Olympian Siphiwe Lusizi from Mdantsane is set to face off with Scenery Park’s Odwa Gaxa in a junior-middleweight bout over six rounds.
