The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has announced that it has acquired the rights to show the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia/New Zealand 2023™.

The public broadcaster is going to broadcast the matches on its television and radio platforms. 

SABC TV is scheduled to show the opening and closing ceremonies as well as 18 group stage matches – one live game for each of the African teams except for Senegal. Two live Senegal matches are going to be shown on SABC TV. 

The public broadcaster will also show four last-16 matches, all the quarter-final games, the semi-finals, the third and fourth place play-off as well the final.
