Prince Dlomo will get yet another opportunity to defend his South African junior-welterweight title when he comes up against Marcus Lebogo in Durban next Sunday.

Dlomo and Lebogo are going to face each other at the Moses Mabhida Stadium. This is going to be the first boxing tournament ever to be held at the iconic 2010 World Cup venue.

“I’m feeling so happy to fight in KwaZulu-Natal again. I’m hoping to win so that I don’t disappoint people from my home province. I have done everything at training to make sure that I win on Sunday. We have worked very hard at training,” Dlomo, who is trained by Charrit Mukondeleli, said.

Already, the Pietermaritzburg-born Dlomo has made three successful defences of the title he won when he dethroned former champion Xolani Mcotheli in March last year.

The 33-year-old Dlomo has successfully defended his crown against Siseko Makeleni, Mcotheli and Xolani Mgidi. His fights against Makeleni and Mcotheli were held in Johannesburg while he collided with Mgidi in Durban.
