Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced on Monday morning that South African Under-19 national team coach Shukri Conrad had been elevated to the job of coaching the Proteas. 

The 56-year-old Conrad, who is a former Highveld Lions and Cape Cobras coach, has signed a four-year contract and will start on 1 February.

Meanwhile, Rob Walter has been appointed to coach both the Proteas Twenty20 and one day international teams. Walter, a former Proteas strength and conditioning coach, has also signed a four-year deal and will begin his duties on 1 February.
