Two Marumo Gallants staff members, who have been ‘detained’ in Libya for almost three weeks are set to return home.

Gallants physiotherapist Tebogo Dhlomo and media officer Rufus Matsena have finally been cleared to return home after they were left in Libya as collateral for the club’s following a CAF Confederation Cup match last month.

“We are immensely relieved that our staff will be returning home safely. They are anxious to get back to their families. We would like to thank all parties that assisted in us getting to this point,” Gallants chairman Abram Sello said on Saturday.

Both Dhlomo and Matsena were ‘detained’ by a Libyan hotel owner after their boss Sello failed to pay Gallants’ debt.
