Former world champion Hekkie ‘Hexecutioner’ Budler is not going to face Thai boxer Kitidech Hirunsuk anymore as he has a new opponent for next week’s fight.

Budler was due to face off with the 20-year-old Hirunsuk at the UNISA Conference Centre in Ormonde, Johannesburg, on Saturday, 6 May. However, his opponent has since been changed and he’s going to face Filipino southpaw Enrique Magsalin.

The 27-year-old Magsalin will go to the Budler fight following a points win over his compatriot Jeffrey Concerman last month. Magsalin has a professional record of eight wins (one knockout), four losses and two draws.

This catchweight bout is a keep-busy fight for Budler as he’s preparing for his clash against reigning World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Association (WBA) junior-flyweight champion Kenshiro ‘The Amazing’ Teraji in August.
