It looked like Orlando Pirates’ winning streak was going to continue as they led by an odd goal, however it was never to be as Royal AM scored a last minute equaliser to hold the Buccaneers to a 1-1 draw in a DStv Premiership match at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Wednesday afternoon.
Making his professional debut, Buccaneers development graduate Relebohile Ratomo sent in a shot, which deflected on Elias Pelembe before kissing the back of the net to give Pirates the lead in the 56th minute.
Menzi Masuku, formerly with Chippa United and Pirates, denied the Buccaneers maximum points when he equalised in referee’s added time. Masuku headed past Pirates goalkeeper Sipho Chaine following a cross from Jabulani Ncobeni.
