SuperSport senior communications manager Clinton van der Berg has revealed that they are disappointed after a tournament, which was going to be promoted by Ayanda Matiti’s Xaba Promotions on Saturday, got cancelled on Friday.

SuperSport outside broadcast vans had already been stationed at the Sun City Superbowl in Rustenburg where the tournament was going to be held when the show got cancelled.

“SuperSport was made aware of the cancellation by the promoter on Friday afternoon. We are still trying to ascertain precisely what occurred. We are disappointed by the cancellation, but this is the nature of live broadcasting. Consequently, all production plans were halted,” Van der Berg said.
