Steve Komphela registered his first win as Moroka Swallows coach as he led the Dube Birds to a controversial 2-1 win over Sekhukhune United in a DStv Premiership match at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Wednesday evening.
The Dube Birds took the lead when Lindokuhle Mtshali netted in the 16th minute following a defensive blunder by Babina Noko.
Soon after that, Babina Noko went forward in an effort to get an equaliser and they equalised through Chibuike Ohizu following some slack defending by the Dube Birds.
There was drama just before the end of the match after Swallows netted the winning goal, which Babina Noko players and technical staff highly disputed. Swallows striker Gabadinho Mhango seemed to have pushed Babina Noko goalkeer Badra Ali Sangare to cross the line with the ball.
