Tete Dijana romped home to win the 98th edition of the Comrades Marathon – a down run from Pietermaritzburg to Durban on Sunday morning.
The 37-year-old Dijana from Mahikeng beat strong competition from Dutchman Piet Wiersma, who finished second, to win his third Comrades Marathon race.
Meanwhile, Gerda Steyn dug deep before winning her fourth Comrades Marathon race as she won the women’s section ahead of Alexandra Morozova from Russia.
